Abstract

The application of sexist double standards in hot-blooded murders is discussed. The provocation doctrine is rife with sexist double standards and needs complete abolishment. Some legal scholars argue that in provocation cases, juries should go through the mental exercise of reversing the genders depending on the facts of the defendant and the victim.
