Abstract

This paper provides a brief review of the modelling of fire growth in compartments and explains the main lines of development and some of the questions raised by each type of modelling.Much of the work is from the USA and Japan, but European countries are becoming more interested in this subject and there is strong international co-operation both informal and within CIB.
