Abstract

Children’s well-being can be broadly categorized as having two main aspects. The subjective aspects include things such as how the child is feeling about their life and how happy they are. The objective aspects include factors that affect the child’s feelings, for example, health, housing, poverty, social capital and education. Despite a fairly extensive literature, comparisons between countries and communities are difficult as ‘the field of social child indication is fragmented and lacking a unifying taxonomy’
