Abstract

The problem of accidents on the highways is of importance at any time but it assumes especial significance ina period of national emergency. The loss of man-power due to accidents has been estimated as reaching millions of man-hours annually, with a resulting decrease in the output of planes, tanks, munitions, and other war essential materials.
