Abstract

Controversy persists over the safety of conducted electrical weapons, which are increasingly used by law enforcement agencies around the world. We report a case of 33-year-old man who had an acute inferior myocardial infarction after he was shot in the chest with an electrical weapon.

Le pistolet à impulsion électrique est de plus en plus utilisé par les forces de l’ordre, provoquant des controverses concernant son innocuité. Nous rapportons l’observation d’un patient de 33 ans ayant présenté un infarctus du myocarde après une électrisation à la poitrine par un pistolet type (TASER X26).
