Abstract

Self-report measures used with homeless mentally ill clients exhibited moderate to high internal consistency coefficients. There was modest agreement between clients and case managers regarding the utilization of most services. However, clients and case managers exhibited little agreement regarding the use of scheduled counseling, supportive counseling, use of day programs, and substance abuse services. Clients and trained interviewers exhibited modest agreement regarding the presence of most psychiatric symptoms and the need for treatment, but there was little agreement between interviewers and clients regarding psychotic symptoms.
