Abstract

Presents educational program for adolescent mothers and their children which was initiated by school system in North Carolina to prevent child neglect and abuse through such strategies as child rearing curriculum, lending library, and community involvement. Reports that program resulted in fewer dropouts, more productive teenage citizens, and fewer maltreated children. (ERIC-NB)
