Abstract

The call for reform in college athletics gives women a special opportunity to be more proactive. However, overcoming pervasive gender discrimination and athlete abuse will require collective efforts of men and women. Reform means full gender equity, budgets should be fully disclosed, and finances should not postpone real reform.
