Abstract

Traumatic events and subsequent crises within the school setting can have a devastating effect on students, faculty, staff and paebts. Crises serve to compromise the most important mission of the school, i.e., learning. A school crisis response plan is a mandatory aspect of effective educational planning and administration. This paper reviews the need for and development of a school-based crisis intervention system.
