Abstract

The article discusses a court case wherein the Ninth Circuit addressed the issue of immunity of police officers when they tased a pregnant woman who refused to exit her car after refusing to sign a traffic ticket. The court ruled in favor of law enforcers using the multi-factor test from a case Graham v. Connor. It argues that the court erred in its decision, exploring also the dangers that Taser guns may inflict especially on pregnant women.
