Abstract

The authors examine a rare type of lethal workplace violence. Most lethal workplace violence occurs at a single site and time. Yet there are cases which involve multiple sites of violent acts by an offender over a short time-frame. This paper defines the characteristics that distinguish between a multi-site and single-site incident, and also addresses the connections between incident, offender, and victim variables. It meticulously describes these incidents, including offenders and victims of lethal workplace violence, that differ when the incident occurs at multiple sites rather than at a single site.
