Abstract

How do we improve the delivery of quality health care? How do we continue to motivate and recognize employees who see layoffs, downsizing, reengineering, and cutbacks? Do we continue to work with obsolete systems in the same top-down management staffs used for the last 100 years? The answer is no. The answer is total quality management, continuous quality improvement, and process improvement, but with a new twist--activity-based resourcing.
