Abstract

In this research an analysis was undertaken concerning what kind of influence the components of the roadscape have on the driver's visual perceptual mechanism, using momentary exposure experiments. The roadscape is complicated but has very little content, while the natural landscape is simple but has an abundance of content. Implications for distractability and interest are discussed.
