Abstract

Herpes viruses are a common cause of viral skin infection seen in general practice ranging from minor skin lesions to life-threatening illness. Our Drug Review considers the recommended management of herpes simplex and varicella-zoster infections, followed by a review of prescription data, sources of further information and details of the treatments available in the Datafile.
