Abstract

A survey of university undergraduates (n = 958) disclosed that over 4% recall being forced into oral or genital sexual abuse during their childhood Survivors reported minimal evidence Of emotional or family dysfunction. However they behaved promiscuously, attempted suicide, perpetrated sexual assault and engaged in juvenile crimes. These findings were relatively consistent across gender and levels of parental education.
