Abstract

One of the principle objectives of modern design is increased traffic safety and the new suburban roadway patterns are meant to provide just that. However, those who must service these subdivisions are greatly inconvenienced by the discarding of gridiron street patterns that formerly predominated. This chapter discusses the new designs and their necessity to the safety of patrons.
