Abstract

This article discusses the importance of having traffic law enforcement and safety personnel display Enthusiasm, Dedication, and Sincerity (EDS) in performance of their duties. Application of the EDS principle will result in citizens more readily accepting and obeying traffic laws based on voluntary compliance due to the perception of fairness and consistency in enforcement.
