Abstract

A traction control system improves vehicle acceleration and stability. However, the traction control systems already developed have only a slip restrictive feature that prevents wheel spin when a vehicle starts or accelerates on a slippery road surface. This paper presents the advanced traction control system with unique and innovative technologies. This enables a driver to trace corners safely and smoothly even on a paved road by prevention of an excessive lateral acceleration. In addition to vehicle dynamics, human factors were introduced to determine the control algorithm. As a result, the system provided with an appropriate mental condition and a further improvement in vehicle manoeuverability.
