Abstract

The research was of causal-comparative research type done with the aim of comparing personality characteristics between Iranian chemical devotees with mild, moderate and severe injuries. Three groups of subjects (40 mild, 40 moderate and 40 severe) were selected with stratified method and then tested with MMPI, 71 items scale. The results of MANOVA showed that, there were no significant differences between three groups (P> 0.05), but descriptive data indicated that all of the devotees with severe chemical injuries were suffering from severe depression and the devotees in all three groups were suffering from moderate schizophrenia, hypomania, hypochondrias, hysteria, psychopathic deviation, Psychasthenia and paranoia.
