Abstract

Correct installation of child seats in automobiles can be difficult. The ISOFIX system has been developed as a response to United Nations Economic Commission for Europe regulations addressing installation. Rigid bars are a feature of the easy-to-use attachment device that the child seat's connectors latch on to. The ISOFIX Pivoting Link, one of the system's key features, provides multiple benefits, and was developed within the ISOFIX project framework. To ensure the protection of children in the event of a crash, there is ongoing ISOFIX research and development. Testing and future direction for the ISOFIX system are discussed.
