Abstract

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) technologies have undoubtedly progressed rapidly in recent years, yet their widespread adoption has not been as fast, and for a long time they have remained the preserve of high-end vehicles only. This article discusses how safety-focused and feature-rich ACC systems are set for more cost-effective integration across a wider range of platforms, meaning availability of life-saving technologies for vehicles outside of the luxury and premium brackets.
