Abstract

The research conducted in this study was focused on a preliminary examination of travel behaviour, associated with land uses adjacent to suburban rapid transit stations. Two particular areas of travel behavior were of immediate interest: modal split of all trips generated by a land use, as a function of its distance from the rapid transit station, and access modal split of rapid transit trips as a function of a distance from the rapid transit station.
