Abstract

This article presents basic safety tips for using a wireless telephone while driving. These include avoiding unnecessary calls and making driving the top priority. Keep your hands on the wheel. Keep your eyes on the road. Practice using the telephone before trying it while driving. Use a hands-free telephone. Stay in your lane. Use speed dialing. Stop and park to dial. Take a message. Stop talking when the driving conditions require your full attention. Keep the telephone in a holder. Do not take notes while driving. Use your wireless telephone to report accidents. Drive defensively.
