Abstract

In recent years, the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) industry has experienced several response vehicle rollover events. Rollover accidents in all branches of the military have led to serious injury to a number of firefighters, including at least 1 death, and have caused thousands of dollars in property damage. This article considers several factors that are being considered as areas relating to ARFF vehicle rollover accidents in order to better evaluate these vehicles for safer operation.
