Abstract

The estimates reported in specification 5 of table 5 -- Yearly External Accident Cost of Marginal Driver for Select States, 1966 -- in our article “The Accident Externality from Driving” published in this Journal (vol. 114 [October 2006]: 931–55) are incorrect. The correct estimates and an explanation of what led to the error are provided.
