Abstract

Based on a comprehensive international literature review of police occupational health and safety, this paper identifies the range of risks faced by police at work. These risks include: assault, death and homicide; communicable disease; stress and fatigue; and other work related injuries and illnesses, including substance abuse and injuries from investigation of clandestine drug laboratories
