Abstract

It is suggested that according to experimental evidence, the stimulation of automatic body functions by travelling in motor vehicles leads to the development of lung cancer. The data available for Australia during the period 1940 to 1984 also shows that the difference between male and female lung cancer rates may be explained by exposure to travel.
