Abstract |
Although the Oedipus complex has perhaps been more written about than any other concept in psychoanalytic theory, the aspect of the original myth to do with Oedipus being an adopted child has received much less attention. This paper explores the myth from this perspective and also looks at the impact on him of the events that led up to his adoption - his early abuse and abandonment by his birth parents. Through a detailed examination of the myth itself and using a clinical example, the paper considers the hugely daunting task often encountered by fostered and adopted children in coming to know the circumstances of being unable to live with their birth parents. The very particular difficulties associated with the working through of the Oedipus complex in this situation are discussed. Obwohl uumlber den Oumldipuskomplex vielleicht mehr als uumlber irgendein anderes Konzept in psychoanalytischer Theorie geschrieben wurde, wurde dem Aspekt des urspruumlnglichen Mythos, der damit zu tun hat, dass Oumldipus ein adoptiertes Kind ist, wesentlich weniger Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt. Dieser Artikel exploriert den Mythos aus dieser Perspektive und sieht sich auch an, welchen Einfluss die Ereignisse, die zu seiner Adoption fuumlhrten, auf ihn hatten - naumlmlich sein fruumlher Missbrauch und das Verlassenwerden von seinen Eltern. Mithilfe einer genauen uumlberpruumlfung des Mythos an sich und eines klinischen Beispiels, erOumlrtert der Artikel die aumlusserst uumlberwaumlltigende Aufgabe, der sich Pflege- und adoptierte Kinder gegenuumlbersehen, wenn sie die Umstaumlnde kennenlernen wollen, die es ihnen unmOumlglich machte, mit ihren Eltern zu leben. Es werden die ganz besonderen Schwierigkeiten im Zusammenhang mit dem Durcharbeiten des Oumldipuskomplexes in dieser Situation diskutiert. Si le complexe d'OEligdipe a fait l'objet de bien plus de commentaires que n'importe quel autre concept de la theacuteorie psychanalytique, le fait que, dans le mythe initial, OEligdipe est un enfant adopteacute a peu attireacute l'attention des auteurs. C'est dans cette perspective que cet article explore le mythe avant de consideacuterer l'impact, sur OEligdipe, de la maltraitance puis de l'abandon dont il a fait l'objet de la part de ses parents geacuteniteurs. Agrave travers une lecture deacutetailleacutee du mythe lui-mecircme et Agrave l'aide d'un exemple clinique, l'auteur explore la tacircche eacuteminemment complexe que doivent souvent entreprendre les enfants recueillis ou adopteacutes lorsqu'ils cherchent Agrave comprendre les circonstances qui ont rendu impossible leur maintien au foyer de leurs parents geacuteniteurs. Les difficulteacutes tregraves speacutecifiques qui preacutesident Agrave l'eacutelaboration du complexe d'OEligdipe dans un tel contexte sont ensuite examineacutees. Sebbene nella letteratura psicoanalitica si sia scritto sul complesso edipico forse piu' che su qualunque altro concetto, poca attenzione e' stata data al fatto che nel mito originale Edipo fosse un bambino adottato. In questo articolo si vuole esplorare il mito da questa prospettiva guardando anche all'impatto su Edipo degli eventi che portarono alla sua adozione, - l'abuso dei primi anni e l'abbandono da parte dei suoi genitori naturali. Attraverso un'analisi dettagliata del mito stesso e un esempio clinico, nell'articolo si fanno delle considerazioni sul compito incredibilmente difficile che spesso spetta ai bambini in affido o adottati quando prendono consapevolezza delle circostanze per le quali non potevano vivere con i loro genitori naturali. Nell' articolo vengono discusse proprio queste difficolta' cosi' particolari associate all'elaborazione del complesso edipico in questa situazione. |
