Abstract

This paper is both a review of primary issues and a personal and academically-derived summation of the future of terrorist organizations in terms of the major players, the historical perspective, the impact of ideologies, and the influence of new, technologically-savvy players. It provides a synopsis, as it were, of the state-of-the-art of the Global War on Terror (GWOT) at this point-in-time, and into the next decade.
