Abstract

This article describes a technique known as Reality Orientation which stimulates the patient through repeated presentation of basic information and by placing him in contact with other patients to break the pattern of isolation. The application of Reality Orientation as a treatment modality is an attempt to create a healthier environment for the institutionalized elderly.
