Abstract

The active elderly are participating in ever increasing numbers in educational programs. One of the most successful programs to serve the learning needs of older persons has been Elderhostel. Four major patterns of learning outcomes are reported by Elderhostel program participants: content knowledge, environmental exposure, social development. and the expanslon of self-concept.
