Abstract

This paper presents a two component, inter-disciplinary model for helping nursing home residents deal with their own impending deaths and that of their friends and relatives. The first step involves an active, overt funeral and burial planning process and the second step involves the actual funeral. This is described in detail so that it can be applied in a variety of other residential settings.
