Abstract

This article examines the relationship between eating and socializing for the elderly, factors affecting nutritional andsocial status ofthe elderly, and describes government programs aimed at promoting a higher level of nutrition and socialization in the aged. Impressions of and participants responses to one such program are included. Value of the programs is discussed with recommendations given.
