Abstract

The report of a program related to the prevention of traffic accidents in Bogota, Columbia, in 1983, is presented. The methodology applied showed that extensive and preventive policing produced immediate results and its adoption was relatively simple: the number of accidents declined from 414 to 48 within one year ofÂ
