Abstract

This Circular defines the objectives, content, implementation, follow-up, and evaluation of a child abuse program established by the French Government. The program is designed to give children the means to protect themselves and to ensure that they are respected through teaching them by word and picture of the respect due from adults to their own bodies and those of children around them. The program consists of preventive education for children carried out principally in schools. Appended to the Circular is an outline of a typical departmental preventative program.
