Abstract

This chapter is intended to assist managers and occupational physicians in assessing the impact of violence-induced trauma in the workplace, and in determining the most appropriate responses for both employee and corporate welfare. Among the topics covered are the dimensions of violence in the workplace, the phases of the trauma experience, the objective and subjective experience of employee-victims, and the dynamic interplay and organizational trauma.
