Abstract

A postal survey of 50 car drivers with restricted movement of the cervical spine revealed that many experienced difficulties when negotiating junctions or reverse parking. In many cases supplementary interior mirrors increased the drivers' field of vision, enabling them to perform manoeuvres more safely. Choice of suitable mirrors and their exact positioning depends on the design of the vehicle and the individual's disability.
