Abstract

The plight of children in a world in which weapons are given priority is outlined, and the particular effects on children in the United States of the policies of the present government are described. Ways in which mental health workers--acting as professionals and as citizens--can advocate meaningfully on behalf of social programs vital to children are set forth.
