TY - JOUR PY - 2011// TI - Depression in end-stage renal disease JO - Journal of psychosocial nursing and mental health services A1 - Fallon, Margaret SP - 30 EP - 34 VL - 49 IS - 8 N2 - The occurrence of depression within the population of patients with renal disease may be underrecognized and undertreated in practice. Furthermore, depression in the presence of end-stage renal disease may be resistant to treatment or require multiple modes of treatment and coordination of care across settings and providers for symptom relief. Improved assessment and diagnosis of depression could permit earlier psychotherapeutic intervention and improve the quality of life for patients with renal disease.
