SP - 311 EP - 322 VL - 39 IS - 7 N2 - After a brief introduction on the effect of the disorders of food behaviours in Czechoslovakia, the study is focused on the results of a clinical observation regarding 100 women hospitalized in the Prague Psychiatric Unit between 1983 and 1990. The author is interested in the main psychopathological symptoms accompanying the disorders of food behaviours: kleptomania: 11 per cent, in relation to bulimia nervosa: 19 per cent, alcoholism: 17 per cent, in relation to bulimia nervosa: 32 per cent, dependency to psychotropic drugs: 12 per cent, suidice attempts: 18 per cent, anxiety: 75 per cent, schizophrenia: 4 per cent and signs of organic affections of the central nervous system. The social and personal characteristics are comparable with the results of the studies realized in other countries. The female patients suffering from disorders of food behaviours form a heterogenous population whose varied psychiatric symptoms get worse, following the evolution of the disorder.
