N2  - 630 Autopsy reports performed at the forensic institute of Bordeaux from 1983 to 1985 are reviewed by authors. Natural deaths were 134 (21,3%) with 9 (1,5%) sudden infant deaths and 125 (19,8%) sudden adult deaths. Violent deaths were 491 (77,9%) with 92 (14,6%) accidents, 247 (39,2%) suicides, 132 (21%) murders, 20 (3,1%) unprecise deaths. Undeterminated deaths were 5 (0,8%). Every circumstance is analyzed as to sex, age, cause, places where corpses were discovered. Comparisons with literature emphasizes local characteristics, lack of homogeneity and unexhaustive collection of these epidemiological parameters in France.<p /> <p>Language: fr</p>
