Then, shows the international and Brazilian epidemiology and the need for further studies in this field. The traces of people with risk of suicide are painted as well as the psychodynamics of this act. Finally, shows the urgency of the treatment as hospitalization, psychopharmacotherapy, individual and familiar psychotherapy and the group follow-up.
