N2  - Paraquat is a powerful herbicide used since 1962, that has a high multiorgan toxicity against which there is no effective treatment. It is used frequently as poison by ingestion in some rural areas. However, cases in which paraquat is used by parenteral injection are rare. In this paper we describe a suicide attempt by parenteral injection of paraquat in a young 18 year old man with psychiatric problems, who kept the information secret until 48 hours after admission.<p /> <p>Language: es</p>
