N2  - The judgement of the German Federal Constitutional Court of February 2020 on assisted suicide has rekindled the debate over euthanasia in diaconia and church. Controversy centres on the proposal that assisted suicide be made possible in diaconic institutions. The present contribution adopts a critical position on the arguments of supporters (of assisted suicide) and explains the position of the v. Bodelschwingh foundations of Bethel.
