TY - JOUR PY - 2015// TI - Suicide risk and meanings of sexual minorities: A new challenge for public health JO - Revista de la Facultad de Medicina, Universidad Nacional de Colombia A1 - Rocha-Buelvas, A. SP - 537 EP - 544 VL - 63 IS - 3 N2 - The purpose of this article was to present regulatory, social, epidemiological and political advances and delays of suicidal behaviors in sexual minority as a public health problem from an analytical, interpretative and critical perspective. Given that the theoretical knowledge of the subject is substantially reduced, it is of paramount importance that, from the public health discourse, optimal policies and health care services for LGBT population --with the particularities and complexities of the health-disease process-- are included in the public agenda. © 2015 Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
