N2  - The question of what a "good way of dying" could be is currently a matter of controversial debate in Germany and in many other European countries, and it is often accompanied by the question of whether there could also be a "good way of killing". Should the German legislature recognize suicide as worthy of support, and should participation in it have no consequences? Should there be death on prescription? This paper takes up these questions and in doing so turns to Immanuel Kant (1724-1804), who has reflected on the nature of dignity and autonomy - two key concepts that we encounter repeatedly in current debates on euthanasia - in an outstanding way. © 2015 Schwabenverlag AG.<p /> <p>Language: de</p>
