N2  - Suicide attempts in childhood are rare and infrequently reported excusive of adolescence. This report is a French national retrospective and descriptive inventory of children (less than thirteen) suicide attempts in pediatry and pedopsychiatry during the years 2004 and 2005. The authors describes epidemiological and clinical characteristics of a 97 young suicide-attempters' population. They reports depressive and narcissic non-psychiatric psychopathology in a familial problematic context of psychological insecurity and misattachment.
