N2  - The main purpose of the article is to present possibilities of the crisis intervention application as preventive and therapeutic method uses toward people with suicidal problems. The article presents basic assumptions of the crisis intervention as a method of a secondary prevention; shows the main tasks and organizational frame of crisis intervention centers. Reffering to experiences of the Cracovian Crisis Intervention Center my intention was to discuss the crisis intervention applied toward three different kinds of suicidal situations: people with suicidal thoughts and behavior; people and their families after suicidal attempt; suicidal death.
