A fast transfer from an intensive care unit to the psychiatric hospital is very important, especially for patients which show continual suicidal tendencies. Delayed intoxication-effects are rare, but they can represent a vital threat to the patient. Substances with a hepatical metabolism can cause organic complications after a latent period. They can also interact with the given psychotropic drugs (CYP-P450-system). We present a 37-year-old female patient which developed a coagulopathy after a mixed intoxication with Phenprocoumon. After detoxication of suicidal patients on intensive-care-units, the frequent control of somatic parameters in the psychiatric hospital is very important.
