N2  - The analysis of road accident causes consist of a fundamental tool for the improvement of safety in a road network. An analysis is presented of factors affecting road safety in Greece. The analysis is part of an attempt to clarify some reasons for which the Greek road network is less safe than those of the other European Union (EU) countries.
